How long since the end of World War 1?

World War I, also known as the Great War, was a global conflict that took place from July 28, 1914, to November 11, 1918. It began after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and involved major powers divided into two alliances: the Allied Powers (including France, Britain, Russia, Italy, and later the United States) and the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria).

The war was characterized by trench warfare, the use of new military technologies like tanks and chemical weapons, and resulted in unprecedented levels of carnage and destruction. By the end of the war, over 16 million people—both soldiers and civilians—had lost their lives.

World War I officially ended on November 11, 1918.
